Mullane’s Trivia
So this is how it works… listen up boys and girls.  The SecondTuesday of every month your favorite neighborhood bar and grill, MULLANE’S, will be testing your semi-useless trivial knowledge skills against your neighbors and bar buddies.  And we will be wetting your whistle while we do it.

  • Entry fee is $5 per person in advance—sign up with a bartender.
  • Trivia teams may consist of 4-6 players (no more, no less)
  • Moderately clever team names are important, we like funny people.  The judges may be more lenient with scoring if you make them laugh.
  • The actual trivia will have two halves; each half has two rounds consisting of six questions with a chance to score bonus points.  We LOVE bonus questions.  The first three questions in a round will be worth 1 point each; the next three will be 2-pointers and harder.
  • At the end of each half your teams written down answers will be exchanged with a nearby team for grading (don’t worry the professionals go over them a second time).  We go over all the answers from the previous half so no one freaks out trying to remember that guy, ya know THAT guy, the one from that movie.
  • NO SHOUTING OUT ANSWERS!  It’s disruptive and makes you look like a drunken idiot.
  • We do like to keep things interesting so between rounds there will be special shot questions.  We ask a question and the first person we see or hear say the answer gets a free shot of the night.
  • NO CHEATING!!  C’mon people, this is bar trivia.  Don’t be lame.  We like to keep eyes everywhere, so we give out rewards to rats and stool pigeons.  If you bust another team cheating they get shamed and mocked, you get a bonus point.
  • Like I mentioned earlier we not only want to feed your brain, but quench your thirst.  In addition to free shots, trivia teams will get awesome drink specials.  We like you trivia dorks better than the rest of the customers.
  • Don’t forget to tip your servers! $15 tab min. per/person.
  • This is how we split up the winnings.  All the money that comes in goes out.  The first place team not only wins the admiration and respect of their peers but also 70% of the pot.  Second place wins 30% of the pot, and third place a free pitcher of Bud or Bud light.
